I feel your pain...but I have a different story. Over a period of 6 months
last year I deposited three checks for differing amounts but they totaled
50gs. Each time a hold was placed on the check until it cleared. Then three
months ago, I deposited one check for 50gs and no hold was placed. Even the
teller and her supervisor were surprised. They figured out that since I was
now a big depositor they wouldn't have to hold them. They were super polite
and offered every thing the bank could offer including the donuts and
coffee. But they wouldn't give me more money!
Unfortunately, my deposits in the future will be much less and I'm not a
smart businessman or anything, the money was from an inheritance.
